Grammar in a Nutshell is an online resource that teaches all aspects of English Grammar, allowing teachers and students of all ages to learn English Grammar in an engaging and interesting manner in a class setting or from the comfort of their own home. Grammar In a Nutshell is ideal for teacher professional development and all students aged 8 - 18 who are learning English Grammar. It is also helpful for adults and teachers of any age who 'missed out' on formal grammar during their schooling. With the assistance of an English-speaking mentor, it is especially useful for migrants, ethnic groups and international students.
All of the lessons, exercises and tests in Grammar In a Nutshell are 980 pixels wide, so are ideal for all computers or tablets. Because this online course has been written to run on any web browser, it can be operated on all PCs, Macs, iPads, tablets and chromebooks. All of the other pages are responsive design, so can be viewed on a smart phone to gain an understanding of what this online course provides.

You can take as long as you like to complete the course. Remember, you need to undertake 50 hours of accredited Professional Development over 5 years (or 7 years if employed part time) so it is good practice to complete at least 10 hours a year to keep on top of your requirements.

Once you have completed all the assessments the Evaluation Form will automatically unlock. Once the form is completed and payment received, you will have completed the Professional Development and your accreditation will be uploaded to the eTAMS website.
When an educational institution registers to use Grammar In a Nutshell they are committing to an annual licence for the number of users (including teachers and students) who will use Grammar In a Nutshell during that year starting on the commencement date specified during registration. When the educator registration is complete, an email is sent to the educator with an invoice attached. The payments terms for this invoice is 30 days from invoice date. The educator can then use the Class Management section of Grammar In A Nutshell to upload individually, or via a CSV file, the students who will be using this online course. A reminder email will be sent to the registering educator one month prior to the annual expiry inviting them to renew their annual licence from their My Account page. The size of the annual licence can be varied up or down on renewal. If the licence size needs to be varied during the year, please contact us. The renewal is not automatic, so if not renewed, the licence will expire on the anniversary of the commencement date. There are no refunds on this annual subscription except as outlined in the Returns Policy.

Yes. Grammar In A Nutshell allows logon using Google Classroom. Just use the Google Classroom logo in the header to add a link into a google class after registering the school using Google Classroom to register.
If you use Google Classroom with a dedicated domain for your organisation then simply click on the Google Login on the login page and login using your Google Classroom Account. This will take you to a registration page to set up your organisation. You must be a teacher or administrator level to use this option.

The parent can use the Student Management section to enter their children's names and to monitor their progress through the course.
